Doing his own manufacturing?

Why would he want to do this? He should have just sold the idea to Ford. They might have even given him the credit he wanted. The headaches and uncertainties with manufacturing. It would make much more sense to let Ford build to their own specifications and applications.
Is it also historically accurate that the Mustang was the first car with intermitent wipers? I wished they would have included a timeline. I could only get a sense of time by the cars. His Galaxy or whatever seemed to be about a '65-68, the LTD he installed the unit in was maybe an early '70's and those Mustangs were '72-73? but the whole timeline was like "3 years earlier, 4 years later" and I would have liked a date.

I agree completely about the timeline. I thought maybe I missed the original date as I was watching on DVD and not quite paying 100% attention to the beginning. Then when they were in the courtroom, and said August, whatever the date was, I thought "good, they will give a year" and they didn't. I wonder if it was purposeful, although since it was based on a true story, there's no reason to take out all the time references to make it "timeless"
