Why so much praise for this movie?

I see people saying it is award worthy and really good. I know, the subject is important, but the writing is mediocre TV level, direction and operator work looks like those guys just came from advertisement background recently, music is EXTREMELY poor and acting is god awful from everyone in the crew, except for maybe the main character, photographer and that black guy "somebody" Jackson. Seriously, this movie, as a movie - a product in this area of products - is worth 6 out of 10 AT BEST. It is getting by on the subject's back and by no means I want to diminish the subject, but this subject deserves a much better execution. It's as if Hotel Rwanda was your average TV B movie.
