On the commentary David Cohen talks about how he started a real toy company to make Bender Dolls like that one. But they turned out to be too expensive to make. They had a prototype but determined that it would cost around $45 (I think) to make each one. They wanted to sell them for around $12 so it just wasn't cost prohibitive.

That makes me so so sad :(

reply

i would even be happy if it didnt speak. i think it would be awesome just to have one

reply

Same here! Just a little plush toy looking like the friggen adorable one they had one the movie would satisfy me.

Depends what you try to make them out of.

If they just made them stuffed like Tickle me Elmo dolls I don't think it's be that expensive.

Toynami is an american toy company that has the futurama license.

Maybe you can convince Toynami to make plush Tickle Me Bender Dolls that are same size as they are in movie that do not speak or make any noise.

These would be cheaper to make then Ticle Me Elmo Dolls to make.

In case Toynami does not know how Tickle Me Bender Dolls look like you can give them the following internet address listed below.

You can decide to email Toynami or write Toynami about making a plush tickle me bender dolls that do not speak or make noise.
