When he was like "Are you telling me this Tivo can pause and rewind live tv?!!!"
It's funny because they live in the future with all these amazing technologic things and he is surprised to see Tivo's playback.
Hahahah funny.

I think that's the point of the joke, that Nixon is so behind the times...

Plotholes are like Bigfoot, people who claim to see them are just trying to stir things up.
