6/10

I like the story, I could give a 9/10 for that although its a bit predictable and too overdone but oh well..I also didn't mind the blood, I was even eating during the scene of the beheaded Rikyu..

There were just some things that made me go wtf..Like the CGI for example.I even wondered if I saw the final cut or what because I could've sworn I still saw some wires, and some areas that needs editing(???), or I thought at one point I was watching a video game? Or how is it that one minute I saw this fight scene and next thing I know he was already somewhere else, the sequence I guess? And why the hell was Hideyoshi's death cut? And the biggest of all complaints..I know superheroes are supposed to be immortal but that scene where Goemon still survived everything, alone against an army..Erm..

The guys are hot btw. lol.

When an unarmed person like Hideyoshi is about to meet his doom he already becomes irrelevant so showing his death scene would of really proved nothing other than just having a violent scene.. just to be more violent. What would of it really achieved other than showing how cold Goemon had to become which was already achieved with his first assassination attempt.

The CGI also became a little weird because there were times where I would always find myself questioning what was real, not real, or just out of focus such as backgrounds or simple things like grass.
In Casshern it worked better because the color scheme was darker with the primary colors being black, blue, red, and occasional hues of gray or orange. Thus making the blue screen special effects blend in better. Where as Goemon it became more obvious because of all the bright colors being used.

I'm also curious if that was Hattori Hanzo during the castle raid,... but then again that would not make much sense considering historically he died of natural causes.

Speaking of Hattori Hanzo; Hattori was a samurai who is often associated with ninjitsu due to his affiliation with the Iga clan. Now giving a stretch of imagination... Hanzo killed many people on his own, but was also a great tactician. So to add to the legend of learning from the legendary Hanzo, and dawning Oda's "mystical" armor which seemed to of given him powers that would allow him to endure driving through two armies that were already too busy focusing on each other. Also Goemon was not immortal as he was mortally wounded by his friend which he later on inevitably collapsed then died.

Oh no, I didn't mean it to be literal. I always call superheroes(add to that John Cusack from 2012 lol) to be immortal because even at the brink of death, they manage to survive. That's just a metaphor. Why I called him immortal is because, come on, he managed to survive that army? Alone??? Erm..

And yeah, I think the CGI is the main thumb-down for Goemon.

Felt the same way. Too much of an unreal thing!
