The Trouble With Jonas *Spoilers*
We want to like Jonas and feel sympathy for him, but it's hard.
He treats his "lover" Camilla with disdain, barely communicating with her, supposedly brought on, by the death of his father. This includes heading out to party with his friend, leaving the foxy Camilla at home.
The film is not strong on even hinting, let alone explaining his motivations.
Why does he leave his old job, as a public defender (I think). He apparently says nothing to anyone including Camilla.
Why does he become a "candidate" for a vacancy at his father's old firm? He tells Martin he always wanted to work there, but we strongly sense it is untrue. So why? It's a thread that is simply not followed up in any way.
Thinga aren't helped IMO by Nikolaj Lie Kaas's essentially one note performance, of which there is precious little subtlety evident.🐭
