Why oh why did they kill off one of the only likeable characters in this movie? Who also, may have been able to help finish off the curse. The whole film is a bit of a mess but it just seems stupid to have this character who was doing her research and all that and then bam! She's dead.

I don't see what she could have done to help anyone. She only found out what people had in previous films, and they were still screwed.
