Agreed, if she just let her drink from the cup, they all would've been spared. I couldn't believe she was surprised her brother killed the girl, she SAW him go after in front of her, what did she think he was gonna do, play tag? She was so dumb. That's twice that woman tried to help her and both times she wouldn't do what she said and it got worse. I agree 100%, OP.
