Non-musical version of 'Repo:A Genetic Opera'?

There's nothing in the trivia section stating that, nor have I seen any references to it on this board. I've seen The Genetic Opera" but not this one yet, so I can't see how alike they are. The basic premise seems far too familiar to be mere coincidence. If the producers haven't officially promoted this film as a remake, they MUST have been sued, because there's no way this could be considered original. But i haven't seen ANYTHING about this being an official remake. Not in magazines, message boards, trivia sections, websites, etc.

Anyone seen anything about it? Nothing of Earth-shattering importance, I'm just curious by nature.

This film is nothing at all to do with Repo! The Genetic Opera. The only similarity is the premise where organs are taken back when the person cant pay, thats it. In Repo! The genetic opera (and forgive me if i am mistaken, its been a long time since i watched it) The organs are organic - in repo men, the organs are artificial.

The storylines are completely different also. Its an ok film - i like the musical better though

I saw the Genetic Opera, then was hesitant to watch Repo, thinking it might have been a poor knock-off. Both are good in their own right, and I don't know if there is a connection, but I can't imagine Repo isn't an action remake.

This movie is a blatant ripoff of Repo! The Genetic Opera.
