Annoying plot point...no spoilers

I am pretty sure any music star would NEVER put up with a loser manager shoving them around, barging into their private room without knocking and bossing them around all the time. How irritating and badly written. Made a good character look like a dimwitted weakling. Why do writers do this, have a fairly decent story and ruin it with over the top scripts. I felt like slapping that stupid loser manager and turning the channel.
