It had so much potential (but the darkness)

Throughout the beginning, this movie really had my attention. The part when they first arrive at that small Chinese village was just spooky. The acting was really good. The entire atmosphere of the film just felt really tense and eerie. Like you just knew...that something really bad was going to happen. But after a while, this movie just got so dark (like literally). I couldn't see anything. I basically felt like I was watching a black screen. Maybe this movie was good, but I wouldn't know...because I couldn't see it. All in all, it starts off really good, but gets too dark to see as time goes on.

I came here to see if I was the only one who found the lack of lighting frustrating!

Seriously, so effing DARK, literally! What's the point of a visual medium when the viewer can't even see what the hell is happening onscreen.
