What did he accomplish by faking his suicide? Just so you can harass your wife? You can already do that with your invisible suit. You have an invention worth millions and millions - maybe billions and you fake your death just to get back at your wife? Where do you live now? Who do you associate with? Speaking of the fake suicide, how do you do that and get away with it. You have the police and coroner determining that it is in fact a suicide and the identity of the body. Totally unbelievable and impossible.

As for the why did he fake his death, if I recall correctly, she was in hiding so I think that he figured that if everyone thought he was dead, she'd come out of hiding and he'd be able to find her. The other stuff you spoke of, I cant give any sort of answer for other than - Hollywood nonsensery.

If you are supposed to be dead, what can you do? Can't drive, use an airline, go to the doctor. You would have to assume someone else's identity. And whose body did you use for the suicide?

HE IS EASILY A SUSPECT IF NOT CAUGHT WITHOUT THE FALSE DEATH...ALSO TORTURING HER IS MUCH EASIER AND DEEPER THAT WAY.
