The most unrealistic movie I have ever seen.

Why would a rich handsome man want a woman like Elisabeth Moss?

Ridiculous.

WHEN IS YOUR BEDTIME?

reply

Am I the only one that thinks their attractiveness matched each other.
I mean when she cleaned up, she was just as good looking as him.

reply

Yeah. She's not bad looking at all. These people exaggerate because they compare her to their unusually-beautiful-hollywood-type of women.

reply

Yes

reply

haha this is exactly what i told myself after only one minute in the movie!!

reply

Fair point. I struggled with that too. But I liked the movie though.

reply

Lol she’s unconventionally beautiful...at least to me.

reply

"unconventionally" - whelp, that's one way to wiggle around the word "ugly".

AHahahhahahahahahHAhahhHAahhHAhahhhahhHA

reply

Lol! It sounds kind of harsh but I think a lot of people were thinking this. I guess it was so implausible that the film itself even spotlights this by having Elizabeth Moss' character bring it up when talking to herself/ Adrien, asking why he was so obsessed with her to go through all of this when there was nothing particularly special about her and that he could have any woman he wanted. The implication was that he was such a narcissistic sociopath that it was mostly about his refusal to accept anyone "defying" him.

But yea it's definitely a big stretch. A young tech genius creates what would be one of the greatest technological achievements ever that would change the world and he squanders it all for an overly elaborate, diabolical scheme just to torment his homely ex girlfriend into somehow getting back with him? If you say so.

roflmao xD

Inner beauty, by any chance?

reply

Yeah. To most it seems inconceivable to imagine that personality can be involved in attraction. Go figure.

reply

I'm guessing: you're woman?

reply

Nope. Sorry to disappoint.

Personally I don't think it's impossible for a man to be attracted to a woman that's not considered above a 5 or 6.

Did it never happen to you to see a woman for the first time from afar (at work, or school, at a meeting, party, etc.) and not think anything of her but then she's speaking to you and you're like "Damn, I didn't expect that. I feel so good with her right now. She's so charming and cute!" Sometimes it's their voice or how they express and carry themselves when they interact with you that makes them sexy.

Elizabeth Moss has an average face but her body seems nice enough. So it's not difficult for me to think anyone could find her attractive if he has good chemistry with her.

I'm not saying that these "unexpected attractions" are common but why couldn't this be the case of our psychopath scientist here? Hell... maybe she reminded him of his mother or something. Most likely it was her vulnerability that made her very attractive to him. He saw an opportunity for control and power over her and that's what made him hard, I think. Bottom line... looks are not always everything.
