Jellyfish VS a police officer

look.. there is no way weakling paper-pusher Tom is able to savagely beat up a seasoned 7 foot police officer like James EVEN if he is "invisible"

OR maybe Emily was right when she claimed she can kick James' ass..

lmao

reply

Well yeah cause you can't see the invisible person hence you can't fight back.

reply

yes but Ceci managed to stab him with a pen...

after the first punch you can kind of feel a body in front of you

reply

FIRST HAND ACCOUNT?

reply

Yeah . . . he's invisible but James could still feel the body on top of him. I'm fine w/James losing, but I think he should have been able to fight back more than what we were shown.

reply

I agree with that.

reply

Yeah . . . they didn't let him fight back at all!

reply

I liked the movie but I agree. It’s actually very poor tactics for an invisible man to fight people hand to hand. He should use knives, maybe some sort of invisible staff or hammer, etc.

reply

.... you’re fighting an invisible man... something that to this moment you never thought was possible.

You are 100% completely caught off guard. No training can prepare you for this. James was a cop he is very very use to things making sense and being logical even when it’s insane logic. But this was completely outside his experience. How does the saying go, “any form of highly advanced science could be confused with magic” something like that.

That’s what James was dealing with, something he just couldn’t comprehend and didn’t have time to comprehend.

Elizabeth on the other hand did. She knew what her ex did and knew what he was capable of and had been dealing with it. Which is why she was able to do more damage. She was already prepared for it. James yeah not so much and honestly just thought Elizabeth was crazy.

That’s why it was a one sided fight because all his training was for a real life situation not something that well is out of a movie.

reply

As a guy, I would just start peeing and spin in a circle. Then I'd hit above where pee drops were floating in the air.

reply

Yeah 'cos you'd have time to do that while getting beat down. Idiot.

reply

Aw man! I thought I had come up with the perfect strategy. Next time I’m fighting someone invisible, I definitely won’t try that then. Thanks for the heads up, you may have just saved my life!

reply

LOL
Well done =D

reply

Nice image, though... A man slain by the invisible man and found with his dick in his hand.

reply

Ha ha.

Next time you are in the process of getting a beat down from an invisible person, pull down your pants, whip out your "boy" and start spraying urine. It may just work!!

reply

hahahaa

reply

Right?!?! James was gorgeous and very built!! He was packing a lot of muscle. They made that fight too one-sided. James should have gotten in more hits than he did!

reply

Muscle doesn't equal the ability to fight. If you look at boxers for example, almost none of them have that bodybuilder look.

reply

But he's a cop?!?! He had to have some basic training - much more than the lawyer!

reply

yah i'm also pretty sure police officers go through training such as hand-to-hand combat, Jujutsu, and w/e else is needed for a good ass kicking.

Tom looked like he weighs 30 lbs with wet clothes AND he definitely ain't a bare knuckle boxing champ (hence the jellyfish)

= )

reply

He just looked like a typical roid head. All muscle, no technique. It's actually a hindrance to be that bulky when you're fighting. Makes you stiff and slow.

reply

Yeah that's the reason I stay nice and un-bulked, myself. Definitely don't want all those muscles slowing me down on the way to the fridge or wherever =P

Dude wasn't THAT bulked though. He had muscle, but he sure didn't look like the body builder type...as far as I could tell anyway.

reply

Big, skinny, natural, pick two - as the old saying goes. Dude's pinning.

reply

This is incorrect. Muscle mass does not make you slow. Muscle mass directly corelate to muscle speed. But you have to train to use it because the bulkier you are the slower you move in regular life situations, due to needing small part of your total strenght.

reply

You just contradicted yourself. It's not optimal for speed, otherwise boxers would all be bulky as hell.

reply

I didnt. Higher muscle mass will result in faster movement, but you train yourself agaisnt it because it usually results in destroyed furniture otherwise, so you have to use it intentionally. Boxers ARE bulky as hell. The problem is we are used to seeing people who use steroids so much we think a highly fit nonsteroid user looks skinny. Look up photos of olympic athletes that are peak human performance but are regularly tested for all kinds of stuff.

reply

Boxers are not bulky, you talk nonsense.

reply

Here is a picture of Muhammad Ali, one of the most famouse boxers in history:

Yes, they are.

reply

LOL you're a blind numpty. Ali was lean and sleek, the last thing he is, is bulky. You could've used Mike Tyson as an example, but instead you chose the worst example possible. Either way it doesn't matter, you'll always find exceptions to the rule. In general, boxers are NOT bulky because it hinders their agility and speed.

reply

ITT: people who have never wrestled or anything like it and don't have a clue that you can still do it fairly well with your eyes closed.

reply

I agree.
Just watch a MMA fight.

If someone has a hold on you, then you know where the rest of their body is.

reply

there wa no hold though. He clearly lost grip multiple times and got hit unexpectedly.

reply

Seriously? You're fighting an invisible man, and add the fact that you don't know that you're fighting an invisible man. If they had known about that going into the situation, then yeah it may have been a little different.

reply

Indeed the idea of the weasel brother physically besting a big strong, physically fit guy like that in a narrow hallway is incredibly unrealistic, invisible or not. In real life it would be much easier to deal with an invisible person that you know/suspect is invisible and stalking you. Also being invisible isn't going to help a person much in a grappling situation where your opponent is tangled up with you. Which is probably why in this film along with invisibility, the suit seems to also inexplicably give the wearer enhanced strength and agility to move around in complete silence which you can probably chalk up to the film simply wanting to create a greater sense of threat and danger for the protagonists.
