Cool Movie With Angell

This sounds like it's going to be something different. And my girl Angell Conwell is in it! Hope her role is good.

When was the last time there was a good black comedy made? "Friday"? If you say "Who's Your Caddy?" or "Rush Hour 3", you life isn't worth spit. Look, I like "Chapelle's Show", but there is a damn reason it is a sketch comedy show and not a feature comedy show, because you can't usually stretch a sketch into a feature and make it work. SNL has had twice as many movie bombs as successes. So put down the rock, Hollywood Actress, and use your skull for something other than a storage unit for bong resin.

I know what you are saying, but to enjoy a good comedy - It doesn't have to be a "good" comedy. And what's this have to do with Chappelle's Show? Are you saying this movie is based on a CS sketch?

But anyway sometimes I watch black comedy just to laugh - not because I'm looking for a good black comedy.

But to answer your question - Friday? - Though a lot of people say it's a good comedy - I didn't like it. - Tucker had his parts, but the movie as a whole sucked. I found "Puff, Puff, Pass" to be a funnier pot comedy.

Who's Your Caddy? - Didn't even bother seeing it. - Big Boi as the Lead? - He's a rapper, not a comedian.

Rush Hour 3? - More of a action/comedy, and it had more Asian than Blacks in it so - I wouldn't put that under "black comedy" - But yet - it's a movie I did enjoy.

So finally. - And I admit black comedies that are actually funny don't come along too often, but I thought Big Mamma's House(the first one) was funny. "Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins" was surprisingly funny. And "Norbit" was funny.

Ahh Puff Puff Pass! That was funny as heck. Well now that I think about it I like just about all movies that have Weed in it. I guess it's just more understood and funnier to those that have partaken of it, either in youth or currently. You get a lot more laughs at movies like that because it brings back memories of fun times you have had, and it is easier to relate to the characters.

I think it's just "sense of humor" - Some people have a light sense of Humor - Some people have a medium one and some people have a hard sense of humor.

I consider myself Medium. - I've never smoked pot - It's just that a person with my sense of humor found "Puff, Puff, Pass" funny.

Surely some of the best (and, to be honest, ONLY truly great) comedies were some of Richard Pryor's films?
Also, the last black comedy flicks i recall liking and that stick in memory were YEARS ago: "I'M GONNA GIT YOU SUCKA" (not bad) and "HOLLYWOOD SHUFFLE" (a great attempt)...

"I need wurjin blad!"

So you didn't like any of Eddie Murphy's movies or Martin Lawrence?

Myself - I never found Richard Pryor's films to be great. - Yeah - his stand-up was awesome, but his film's were just "OK" if you ask me. - Really with all the Pryor films that I've seen (excluding his stand up concerts) - I can't remember much about them except that he did many with Gene Wilder.

I actually liked this movie. It's not a great movie, but it's perfect for an evening of light entertainment and goofing off with your friends.

When my brother read me the synopsis I didn't really want to watch it, but he insisted and in the end, it was pretty good.

My brother and I just couldn't stop smack talking the movie every time Charlie Murphy was on screen. (Watch Chapelle's sketch on Rick James)
There were parts where I could not understand a single word one of the characters said.

Bob "I jump out of barrels in japanese game shows and spank contestants" Sapp does a great performance as the Frankenhood, Charlie Murphy is convincing as a eccentric, bitter and ingenious coroner.
