Yes its an animated movie from the Yash Raj camp in collaboration with Walt Disney in which only the VOICES of Saif Ali Khan and others are used. ( just like A shark's tale with the voice of Will Smith ).
You can get a first impression of the movie on the official yashrajfilms website.
If the movie will do or not in India :
Considering the fact that animated movies like Bal Ganesh and Hanuman were commercially successful for not only the younger audience, but also for adult audience, this movie will do not too bad either.
This movie has nothing to do with religion unlike the other 2 mentioned, but YRF (yash raj films) have already shown to have some potential in animation in a normal bollywood movie, which they demonstrated in Hum Tum and we all know how much Hum Tum was appreciated in many categories.
Hum Tum was not the only movie in which full animation was used, there were a few who tried, but hopelessly failed.
The main reason for that ( IMO! ) is the STYLE of animation. For example : take the animation style from Hum Tum and compare it to the style used in Cash. The style in Cash is basically Manga which is originally a Japanese drawing style mostly used in fight or other intense sequences etc. That particular style is not yet appreciated that much in the Indian market as it is in Europe, US or East Asia.
The way the animation was used in Hum Tum was specifically created for that movie only. That is why it fitted so well unlike Cash or Karam. I don't exactly know if there is a name for the Hum Tum style, but I'll just call it simple and to the point. And after much reading on yrf and disney + seeing the teaser, I get a good feeling that this movie will be widely appreciated.
I don't need to explain Walt Disney's capabilities on animation because they're world wide famous for it. And now YRF collaborating with them makes the (on paper) most promising team to make an full animated BOLLYWOOD movie in the HOLLYWOOD style, using voices from real actors etc.
Thus expectations are huge :)
Btw you know what i would find funny?
Every hollywood animated movie comes dubbed in different languages all over the world, but if RR prooves to be a hit, how will they handle that ? Because the teaser on the YRF website already showed that it will be a PURE INDIAN movie. Just have a look at that trailer and imagine the same thing in Dutch, English, German or whatever foreign language. :))
