I really hope that Sexby comes to a sticky end for cutting down possibly the most annoying historical character I've ever come across. I was enjoying watching her dangle, even though I knew she'd survive somehow. At least a stout length of hemp curtailed (sadly, temporarily) her pontificating and mewling !

Other than that, a brave effort at dramatising a complicated and fascinating period in our history.

Dramatising is the word. In this episode they managed to make a hash of Burford, Ireland and the King's trial - albeit a very impressively done hash!

Still, have some sympathy with your attitude to Angelica. They might have strung up Irritating John at the same time. His smug self-righteousness has been getting on my nerves almost from the moment he first appeared!
