does anyone know the name of the piece of music repeated throughout this series? It's kind of haunting and I've heard it before but can't quite place it.

I don't know if this helps, but Murray Gold is listed as the original composer for The Devil's Whore. Needless to say, I too would like to know the name of the haunting piano piece.

I too was wondering about that little piano melody that comes into it occasionally. Very nice. Anyone know of a youtube clip, etc., that happens to have it? Might mean others recognise it if it wasn't an original composition.

It was probably composed for the programme. It's similar to the track "A Legacy of Comfort" by Martin Phipps from the TV series "The Virgin Queen". The one from "The Devil's Whore" has the same poignant quality but the melody is even more beautiful. I really hope they release the soundtrack.
