Question of timing

How much time elapses between the heroine's expulsion from court, and her meeting Sexby in the woods? I would have thought it a matter of days, but when she and Sexby talk, he mentions King Charles going to Scotland, negotiating unsucessfully, and getting sold to Parliament. A lot to have happened in the short time since Angelica and King Charles last faced one another.
