Not Another Movie Centered Around Hick Cannibals!

Since Wrong Turn came around we have had movie after movie centered around southern (as Hollywood sees it redneck), hicks who go around eating other people. Oh and don't forget the bad teeth, snarled faces with deformed facial features..

Hey guys, we have dental insurance here in the South too and I have seen some rednecks but never anything remotely like deformed cannibals. Most of the violent, serial type killers are found in big cities on the West Coast or up North.

But it goes back to the let's follow the trend in Hollywood and copy what has sold before....

I am from Chicago and I am sick of this bs also. I think that most nuts are from the suburbs and not big cities or rural areas. One more thing why do all these movies have to have a self centered douche.

Thanks. Not sure which character you are referring to as "self- centered" (Melody?) but yeah, they create one person like this so we can "cheer" when thy get killed.

Typical "let's follow-the-leader" mentality in Hollywood. When one Southern cannibal movie manages to do well they try to outdo each other & it gets even more ridiculous with each movie.

I've lived here all of my life (various states) and I have never seen or heard of anything remotely like the creatures from Wrong Turn. I lived in Missouri for a while (not near where this movie was filmed) and it is a clean, modern place. Everything state has small towns with weird characters (California & New York no different) but it's always the South that gets these stupid movies made about them.

Maybe if these directors/producers took trips to other states they would find ugly, toothless, low IQ types as well.

Most of the major crimes are in the North & the large scale shooting are almost always in the North- not in the South.
