a movie like this needs to be made about the Hollywood GLBT mafia

not just the stars, but the hypocritical moguls/directors/producers/publicists/bloggers as well (David Geffen, Barry Diller, Calvin Klein, Simon Cowell, Oprah, Nigel Lythgoe, Simon Fuller, Ryan Seacrest, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Doug Herzog, Clive Davis, David Miscavige, Jimmy Iovine, David Foster, Russell Simmons, Ludacris, Kanye West, Jay-Z, the late Ray Stark, Marc Cherry, Tyler Perry, Sandy Gallin, Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Lucian Grange, Ari Emanuel, Alan Ball, Liz Rosenberg, Nikki Finke, Ryan Murphy, Perez Hilton, the late Allan Carr, Matthew Weiner, JJ Abrams, Jerry Bruckheimer, George Lucas, Judd Apatow, Sherry Lansing, Dawn Steel, Paula Wagner, Scott Zimmerman, the late Malcolm Forbes, Peter Chernin, the late Stan Kamen, the late Ahmet Ertegun, Michael Bay, Mike Ovitz, the late Aaron Spelling, Steve Tisch, Robert Iger, Ronald Myer, Stephen Blairson, Rupert Murdoch, Roger Ailes, Les Moonves, Brad Gray, Barry Myer, Jann Wenner, Jeffrey Katzenberg)

Some of those people are out already. And what damage are they doing?

The point of the documentary wasn't to pry into politicians personal lives, but to expose the dishonest ones who were villainizing LGBTs and pushing anti-gay legislature, while being gay THEMSELVES.

"Some of those people are out already. And what damage are they doing?"

keeping gay/lesbian/bisexual actors, actresses, and musicians in the closet and not giving GLBT youth any more role models than the scant few they have.

reply

Okay...so go make your documentary. It might be interesting.

Though, again, a lot of those people aren't exactly "in the closet". (David Geffen? Jan Wenner?) And I don't know how a bunch of those names made it on your list. (Steven Spielberg? I don't think he's inherently interesting enough to be gay.)

reply

I doubt that most of the people on that list are/were even gay. They're also not creating anti gay propaganda and laws like gay Republicans were. So what would be the point? I'd say it's pointless.
