Helsing anyone?

Does this remind anyone else of Helsing? In a bad way I mean...

Dante's coat and the use of two guns does, as well as the style of animation (at least for the Hellsing OVAs, not the original series), but other than that, not really.

This is actually kind of funny because a while ago I had started a topic like this one on the Hellsing board:

I'm please to see that I'm not the only person who thought so.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of Gungrave. It looks sooo much like Gungrave. The way the anime feels, how Dante and Brandon Heat look, their guns, etc.

Hellsing (o. series from 2001, Mangas since 1997) and Devil may cry (The first Video Game 2001) came out at the same time. So there is no way that Hellsing copied DMC or DMC copied Hellsing.
CAPCOM started development right after Resident Evil 3, so in the late 97.

There might be a chance that they copied some stuff, but since Capcom ist famous for it´s Resident Evil Series and other Horror Games, the chance of "Copy" or "ripoffs" are very very small.
