If you're a fanboy you'll enjoy it because it's Devil May Cry.
As an anime, it blows.
It's cliched from episode one till the end. The fight scenes last for 8 seconds, and Dante kills everyone in 2 seconds with one swing of his sword. Except the final boss. I think it was a few swings of his sword.
The dialogue is terrible. There is nothing funny, and the jokes are lame.
It's subpar at best.
Devil May Cry- 6/10. Just because it's DMC after all.
I don't usually have much of anything bad to say about any anime shows I've seen, and I'm a big DMC VG fan, but this anime series was pretty bad. It seems like the only reason it was made was to please the die hard fanboys. Compared to all of the other anime's I've seen, this one definitely takes the cake as the worst.
Still, I watched the entire thing, so it wasn't a complete failure :/

It was ok. I think though that they should have included his brother Virgil in it to make the Anime more interesting. Maybe even Nero if he fits somewhere in the Devil May Cry timeline (never finished DMC IV).
shareI ddnt like the anime either the only reason I watched the whole series is cos I'm a DMC fan. Its a typical Japanese teenage cartoon or mnaga cartoon some would say, where the action scenes have a very bad camera close up angel, you cant see whats happening properly, one thing I liked was the main theme of the anime. Its the action scenes that make the series bad.

I agree, watched the anime when it was running and found it to be pretty bad, slow, boring, without any proper storyline, ruined characters. Watched it through because I love DMC, but it was rather disappointing, especially for an anime.
