I truly liked this movie even though kitschy. My daughter loved the character Max West. Chalk it up as family entertainment that won't scare the bejesus out of the little ones.

I also liked this movie and the acting in general.
As for the premise of an all girl crew flying what we now know to be something really big. That was actually the truth in part. Female aviators did fly the big planes to Hawaii, during WWII. Unknown if they flew them on further, once a lot of the islands were mostly secured, except for Japan.
Now, about those big and seemingly intelligent birds(Pterodactyles or something like that). No one knows if those birds/mammals were actually intelligent or not. Nothing out there suggests it, but nothing says otherwise. Just like all the other dinosaurs. Look at alligators, crocodiles and sharks. They are very intelligent and are some of the oldest living species on Earth. That we know of. Numerous islands are still unexplored. So something could still be out there.
Like I said in the first sentance. I liked this movie. Why? It's called Science Fiction and I have loved reading SciFi for over 50 years now. Finally, with myself in a location that has the SciFi Channel. I can see what I have only envisioned, all these years. Now to look for this book, if it is available. I will definitely buy this DVD!
@Hailmaster: i agree with your statement, also the reason this movie won't scare little kids cause they didn't show anything creepy looking?
