Modern parents like Tomei's character ruining kids

And it was so true when the character then blamed her parents for her terrible parenting.

reply

True how? She wasn't raised like that so why is she raising her own kids like that?

reply

I can't believe parents really parent like this. No wonder kids today are pussies

reply

No kidding, Youtube is full of videos of parents showing how they discipline their kids, punish their kids, etc., and the comments are FULL of pansy ass crybabies crying 'abuse!',

Mom makes a video forcing her 13 year old to recant her Facebook profile of a 19 year old sex freak posing in lingerie, everybody's all 'she's going to commit suicide now because the mom embarrassed her!', 'The mom is cyber bullying her daughter! She should've just TALKED to her' never mind she's already done this 4 times before and wasn't even allowed to have an account in the first place. ALSO never mind the fact she could've gotten any of the grown men chatting with her arrested and branded child sex offenders because she lied to them.

Dad makes a video showing his son blew off his chores to play video games, so he has to carry a tire up and down a course in the back yard and is only allowed to slam it at checkpoints with orange cones, if he drops it anywhere between the check points, he has to do it more times. Everybody's all 'this is abuse! You're the worst father ever!" (stomp stomp slam), 'That's too hard for him!' 'It's abuse because he doesn't get a CHOICE if he wants to do it or not!'

Where the HELL did all these pansies come from?

it really surprised me that she came from a liberal, easy going home and rebelled to be a type A control freak. while i completely agree with the opinions in this thread, that was a pleasant surprise because it's usually the opposite-most kids rebel against control, not lack of it.

Kind of like Bev and Nana Mary on Roseanne, in their last episode together when they finally reminisce on their lives growing up, Mary tells Bev she became uptight and prudish as a way to rebel against the free spirit Mary had been.

I think that's abuse myself but we don't know the extent of this kids bad behaviour. He may need Army drill sergeant type discipline to whip him into shape a bit.

I think some kids need a smack on the bum sometimes. It speaks to their primal brain directly in a very clear and direct fashion. Then when you say stop that behaviour or you'll get a smack, THEN that talking might actually accomplish something.

With this kid above, it seems pretty obvious what to do. You just threaten to take away the video game. If in fact you have previously taken the game away, then those words would have some impact.

I agree there are too many pansy assed people out there. They all police each other with their politically correct pussy mentalities. They've raised a generation of irresponsible menaces to society.
