How are some people so dumb???

After seeing "Camp Hell" I came here to see other peoples opinions..and I can't BELIEVE that some are calling THIS "pro-Christian propaganda!" Wow. The reason I like this film is because it ABSOLUTELY TRASHES extreme Christians, by portraying them as fanatical, barbaric and freakish. The perveted, twisted obssession they have with young people's sexuality, that pompous priest calling the 15 year old girl a WHORE because she was talking with a boy. Adults filling the heads of young people with poisonous ideas about their bodies and minds being unclean just for having feelings that are totally natural and normal; yeah, this movie NAILED it; everything that I despise about Christians. I have had my share of experiences with these so-called "good people" and I wish I could forget every one of them. I think the gross misunderstanding of this intelligent film is because of the trashy title it was saddled with; "Camp Hell" is a title that will attract a certain audience that just won't have the patience to watch it and fully grasp it. I like this movie as much as I agree with it's negative views of Christians. We NEED more films like this! Is it a "horror movie?" Not in the traditional sense; the boy wasn't possessed by a demon, but rather an imaginary demon that came from the feelings of guilt and the horrific images hammered into these kids minds by Christian psychos. I'm so glad he came to his senses and turned away from those awful people.

"IMdB; where 14 year olds can act like jaded 40 year old critics...'

I was about to ask the same thing, if any other ex-christians who can tell me if it is true about what is portrayed in the film or was it hollywood exaggerating the topic of religion zealots.

I know for example if a priest called my daughter (if I ever have any kids) a whore and all that, priest or no priest, pope or no pope, I will go at him with words, lots and lots of words.

This film is full of anti theists misconceptions of christians. The same as if the klan were to write a movie on race relations.

I agree completely! Thank you for your insightful comment. Sadly, it seems this film will not reach those it needs to most (*points to comments above mine*). I also thought it was creepy how obsessed Phineas was with Tommy and Melissa having sex.

Weird how people think the film is attacking all Christians/all religion. It's not. I think this is clearly revealed through Jack and his father's conversation with Tommy's parents. Jack says, "You know. I know I don't always go along with the community, but I still believe in God and the devil." Not only that, but the text at the beginning of the movie literally defined what they meant by "community" i.e.: not all Christians, just some Christian communities. -.-'

I agree, I think those people turned it off before it was halfway through because it was so much Jesus talk in it

Shhhhhhhtttttt in the end the lead throws the bible out the car window after going home from the hospital, meanwhile the hardcore Christian was still in a Coma... How the heck is that supposed to mean that Christianity is where it#s at?

You gave yourself a name. I gave mine up.
