I was walking on the beach this am with my black lab Rider. Cut up Seaward to mail a letter and saw all the movie set trailers. Wow! This quiet little beach hamlet is going to be a temporary La La land. Just hope they don't spread the word about what a great life we have here.

I work on seaward right where they were filming. I heard them rehearsing over and over... The script is terrible, absolute trash. Who are these writers who think that surfers actually act and talk the way this was written? It's as though they think all surfers are from the valley and are complete idiots. On top of that, the acting is at best laughable. Watch out for this flop.

Hollywood always takes liberties!

Maybe give the cast a few pointers in real surfer speak then?

reply

Hahaha, I guess no one on this film is superstitious!

Would you name a film "Endless Bummer" if you wanted it to do well at the box office?! I sure wouldn't!

They've been filming scenes here literally the next house away. There's tons of people on the porch with cameras and everything. And let me just say that I have absolutely NO idea why they would insist on filming there when that house is DISGUSTING. (I could go on about previous tenants.) You guys should see the back yard. There's filming notices on every door on this block and I kinda got excited at first but then they came and I really didn't see anyone 'famous'. The only guy I recognized was Matt and I only saw him 3 times, and that was today! And today is supposed to be the last day of filming (at least over here.)

You're glib, Matt. You're just jealous 'cause I've studied Dr. Pepper and you haven't.

For you guys' information i actually worked on this feature and to let people know is that this is based on a real story and the reason why they are filiming in such places is to make the film look authentic to the time in which the film is set which is in the 60's i believe i was told when i was working on the film and just because of the title does not mean the feature will flop so do not make such accusations and you guys have no idea what kind of effort goes into making a film so just because they are shooting at some "weird" site does not mean anything so please keep your mouths shut. So anyways just wait and see what the film will really look like when it comes into theaters before judging.

reply

I guess you sure told us, didn't you?

I will express my opinion if and when I want to here even if someone else does have the audacity to tell me to '"keep my mouth shut"'. I still don't think it's a great title to name a film, however good or bad this production may or may not actually be.

And for YOUR information, I have been in several films myself, so I know all about the efforts it takes to make them, so don't you go making assumptions about me or what I think or what I don't think. I also know more about THIS particular film than YOU think!

I used to live in Ventura on Luna Drive.

Surfers sound like harbor seals on pot.
