Any good?
Worth watching?
shareIt's a typical Lifetime Movie Network thing. You can see the plot coming a mile away. And I hated the fast ending. It kind of wants to be Orphan, but it's not. Maybe a real watered down version of it.
shareI think the movie is decent (certainly not great) but that the horror label is inappropriate.
It's more of a drama/thriller. And although there seems to be an effort to build atmosphere and develop characters, it's all really tame and feels artificial. Because of that, most of the themes the movie explores are not really delved into and the more tensed scenes lack a lot of impact.
Its OK but there's nothing original here. You know the plot (and most of the movie's progression) in about 10 minutes into the film.
I kept waiting for there to be some twist or turn, but there really wasn't.
The cinematography was rather impressive, the acting was decent not wonderful though and it had a nice score.
Not really groundbreaking though, and the ending was very rushed indeed.
"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."
The premise sucked. Here's why: No decent mother would move her kids out to a junk-yard. All she had to do was have them get jobs and they would have three incomes. Even in these tough economic times, someone would have hired that girl to work in the supermarket part-time and surely that young guy could be hired somewhere part time as a janitor. They could've lived in a really cheap apartment. I just hate when movies have a dumb premise.

For what was obviously done on a limited budget with no "stars" (until Rathbone developed a following)
No stars?
Melora Walters
William Mopother
Sofia Vassilieva
No offense meant. I guess I don't watch enough of the kinds of movies they're in to know them.
