Any good?

Worth watching?

It's a typical Lifetime Movie Network thing. You can see the plot coming a mile away. And I hated the fast ending. It kind of wants to be Orphan, but it's not. Maybe a real watered down version of it.

I think the movie is decent (certainly not great) but that the horror label is inappropriate.

It's more of a drama/thriller. And although there seems to be an effort to build atmosphere and develop characters, it's all really tame and feels artificial. Because of that, most of the themes the movie explores are not really delved into and the more tensed scenes lack a lot of impact.

Its OK but there's nothing original here. You know the plot (and most of the movie's progression) in about 10 minutes into the film.
I kept waiting for there to be some twist or turn, but there really wasn't.

The cinematography was rather impressive, the acting was decent not wonderful though and it had a nice score.
Not really groundbreaking though, and the ending was very rushed indeed.

"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

The premise sucked. Here's why: No decent mother would move her kids out to a junk-yard. All she had to do was have them get jobs and they would have three incomes. Even in these tough economic times, someone would have hired that girl to work in the supermarket part-time and surely that young guy could be hired somewhere part time as a janitor. They could've lived in a really cheap apartment. I just hate when movies have a dumb premise.

If that's what you focused on, good luck to you. If you'd listened you'd know that's that was where she grew up after being placed there as a foster child, met her husband and probably felt safest (until the brother-in-law started freaking out on her).

True...we've seen this done before in many ways. Far From Home, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, etc.. But that's really the worse thing I can say about it.

For what was obviously done on a limited budget with no "stars" (until Rathbone developed a following) it's an interesting take on the story. There's no over or underacting and it's photographed well.

Calling it "horror" is overblown. More suspense. A murder mystery.

Last night, I was lying back looking at the stars and I thought...where the *beep* is my ceiling???

No stars?

Melora Walters
William Mopother
Sofia Vassilieva

They may not be Oscar winning actors but they are quite successful in the industry No offense to the very cute Jackson but mostly teenagers are his followers.

No offense meant. I guess I don't watch enough of the kinds of movies they're in to know them.

And yeah, Rathbone is mostly known by Twilight maniacs - and that part in The Last Airbender didn't do him any favors - but I think if he gets the chance he'll surprise a lot of people.

Sorry If I sounded grumpy this morning lol. I think he is a hottie and I am quite a bit older than him. So I can see the appeal. He was actually the reason I kept watching.
