i don't think he killed himself.. i though that sarah, killed him, to make it look like a suicide... but they didn't show it... because...i don't think it would be in his character to kill himself....
I think that he killed himself because he felt unwanted. I thought that it might be Sarah at first, but she was just a little child, there was no way she could lift a grown man his size to hang him.

I think Sarah killed the uncle also. It was kind of foreshadowed when she let the rope go and the car parts fell on the brother. All she had to do was knock him out, put a rope around his neck and pull him over the rafter. It was never confirmed but I didn't get that suicide vibe from him. He was an odd duck but seemed happy in his own world.
