Great Movie

I liked this movie...anyone else agree?

I enjoyed this movie thoroughly! One of the best shows I've ever enjoyed from Sci-Fi. I mean, it's not winning any Oscars or anything, but if you like cheesy bad horror movies, what's not to love about this movie? Sit down, open a beer, and play the "that's the worst line in this movie so far" game. My personal favorite was:

"I'm Candy."
"You have candy?!"

Classic. I would watch this movie a second time without hesitation.

It's no "Skeleton Man" but it's pretty good.

reply

As much as it sucks, it's one of the best RECENT horror movies I've seen.

I usually like bad horror flicks but this one BORED me out of my mind. Oh my God, and Skeleton Man is even worse.

I watch a lot of low budget, made for TV, etc. horror movies, and I think this was a pretty decent one. Certainly not one of the best, but compared to some of the absolute garbage I've seen I liked it.

This movie was " amusingly awesome " ! It also contained a bunch of movies and TV series subtext within it . Which for me made it the main attraction for the whole storyline of this film ( like a " best of " or " greatest hits " formula ). For the first example - the store owner played by actor Richard Moll ( excellent actor by the way ) - the name " Kolchak " was a character Carl Kolchak from the short lived TV series - Kolchak The Night Stalker ( 1974 - 75 ) which later became the grandfather series template for The X - Files ( coincidence on this ? perhaps ) . Next for the TV show fans if you haven't already noticed the character Candy struck an almost interesting resemblance to Elly May Clampett from The Beverly Hillbillies ( 1962 ) TV show . ( Yet another interesting trademark ? ) Plus several other " crossover movies " such as - Wrong Turn ( 2003 ) , House Of Wax ( 2005 ) , Cabin Fever ( 2002 ) , Village Of The Damned ( 1960 - a dash of ? ) , Book Of Shadows Blair Witch 2 ( 2000 ) , Children Of The Corn ( 1984 - a dash of too ? ) , and of course The Hollow ( 2004 - based on The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow story ) . There maybe some more " crossovers " but at the moment this is what I saw from this movie especially seeing it only once for the first time . It's definitely a watch more than once kind of film . Well folks thank you for your patience with this long post it's all new to me ( this Message Board thing ? ) and this is my second one here ( the first one I did was for Brokedown Palace 1999 ) . Take care and enjoy the movies .
