What did you think?

I thought this drama was very good, I liked Julie Walters' performance a lot, but I think it could have been expanded to two parts. It seemed to cut off a little early - just after her first victory when Greene resigned - and didn't go on to tell the rest of her story.

What did you think of it?

"Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night!"

I am writing from Canada, and got to know about Mrs. Whitehouse in the newspapers here in the sixties and seventies. She seems to be almost totally lacking a sense of humor and went off the rails the longer she went on. I can't say that I entirely dissagree with her atitudes though. Part of the problem was that the generation after hers was developing far looser attitudes toward sex and personal relationships and that is often very difficult for parents and grandparents to accept.
