Mary walks past two young people in the woods snogging and calls their names and asks if they are enjoying their nature study.
She uses boys' names but the scene passed before I could rcognise who she had sprung.
I thought after that they were her sons but I'm not sure.[she was rather nochalant if that were the case]
Can anyone shed any light on this?

The concept of oral sex was only introduced to her after the encounter in the woods. Had it been the other way 'round, she might have recognized it for what it was.
shareActually, I think they did that to show that she was oblivious to anything "bad" in her little neighborhood.
I caught another bit where she's walking past that man who is working on his car with his wife standing by (holding a drink for him?). Whitehouse gives a breezy "Hello" waves. The couple acknowledge her greeting and then when the wife turns to go into the house you can see she has a black eye (spousal brutality?).
I think later on she walks past the same man and car, but the "wife" is a different woman.

I think by this you mean anal sex. I think they had been caught with each other in hand so as to speak.
