Can't we have 1 thread for fans of Coming of Age I know there are a load around.

I love the show I think it's well written and the actors are fantatastic. Yeah there is a lot of rude jokes but the characters are cleverly written and theres other bits that make me laugh that aren;t rude jokes such as DK doing dares for money and Mr Sock :) And I love DK's raps! The whole swimming pool scenario in episode 1 is good too.

I love the contast between Chloe and Jas and although they are exagerrated as they have to be for tv. I did have friends that remind me of all 5 of characters at my school!

The actors are very talented too.

Tony who plays Matt is a fantatsic singer and when he was younger won a scholarship to Sylvia Young theatre school. He got chosen out of 600 people

Ceri who plays Ollie is a very good stand up comedy writer and has been in a lot of Welsh tv shows

Joe is a good all rounder he is fab at musical theatre which was shown when he played the lead in Peter Pan. He is a member of the magic circle too. (I guess he takes after his dad)

Anabel is a fatastic dancer and you can also see her in Worst Witch

and Hannah is another fab musical theatre performer she has stared in Fame in Londons west end and is currently in a girl band called The Scarlettes

And before all the comebacks telling me I'm a 13 year old kid I am actually 21 years old and have friends my age and older that enjoy the show. Just look at how many people wrote in to BBC3 wanting series 2 commisioned :)

Bring on series 3!!!

i agree with you laura,

i cant write much as im currently enjoying a nice pint of stella and watching s1 ep 2 when DK does stupid stuff for money. some of the sexual inuendos from the characters are soo smart and funny.

yes it does appeal to a "2 pints" audience, but who cares hey? its what we like and the exagerated "dumb kids" make us laugh. i also agree on the comments about the actors too. i think DK and matt are especially good characters :)

finnallyy someone who appriciates the program.

I've taken quite a shine to it
Simply coz i was real bored and i really did enjoy how funny it was and just kept watching it since that day

I would not worry too much, real fans watch the shows and keep the ratings up, a majority of people who use the boards do so only to have rows with people, call everything crap and try to convince everyone else on here how superior to them they are because they can recite all the credits from each Godfather film like some kind of holy litany.
The opinions of media snobs mean less than nothing, they value nothing but their own opinion and can not see that a show like Coming of age, which actually works within the boundaries of it's own remit, has no pretensions and makes people laugh is good thing.
Given the choice between watching a BBC3 comedy and enduring the acidic bile spewed by these people I know which I would find the more healthy choice.

I really liked the first series... not second as much... but I did like it XD
