just saw this in Philadelphia

I just saw this at the Philly Film Festival tonight. Really awesome movie. It had a lot of heart and was well written and performed. Highly recommended.

I saw this at the Philly Film Fest too. Wow, was it amazing. Low Budget but that just added to the feel of it. It was like the old live action Spider-man tv show I'd rent as a kid with its look and 70s funk soundtrack. Only to play Spider-Man they hired the guy from Ong Bak. Can't wait for it to finally be released in theaters or on DVD so everyone can see why I've been gushing about this since I saw it.

I agree, it has some cheese factor but overall very realistic, and the only cheesy parts would be things that would be cheesy if a real guy were to become a superhero. I mean, no matter what you did, your costume would look ridiculous.

Great flick, I enjoyed it very much.

I feel somehow proud that my country launched this movie :-)
The other chilean martial art movie is "kiltro" but is far lesser than this movie.....althought it has good fight scenes too.

Chile can do better >_< And now they're remaking this film, taking out the only good things about this film which is the insight into Chilean media and their country's personality and humor.

Because the story itself isn't very strong, and moving it to the US will make it a real cookie cutter super hero flick, without the heart that made this film work on any level.

Rorsach,

You must have seen a different movie. This story was quite original (not trying to be a normal "superhero" movie at all. The ending was perhaps a bit weak, but I was engaged, even mesmerized, for the entire movie.

I also don't consider this to be a "martial arts" film at all. I think people who see it that way missed the whole point.

The director of this movie deserves every award they can throw at thim, and I hope he gets the oportunity to work with larger budgets in the future. It would also be interesting to see him collabprate with Tarrantino at some point, as their styles are very similar in many ways.

Terrible movie. Very cheesy with some humor thrown in. The action scenes were good but became repetitious after awhile. But a very good introduction to Marco Zaror as an up and coming martial arts star. We get to see his workout regimine and many of his best moves. Hope to see more. But this was boring. An intersting story connection between his brother and the organization Mirageman tried to take down could have been written better. More enjoyable with the FF button.
