Couldve been the start of Paramounts Avengers/MCU

Just rewatched this and maybe bc ive been indoctrinated with mcu the past decade kept seeing some Avengers stuff in this (2 Black Widows, Channing is basically Captain America, the Ironman suits etc) along with all the Star Wars type stuff about broken families, mask wearing villians, darth maul fights etc (not to mention Team America and Firefox)

And then with GI2 they brought in The Rock and BWillis ... Anyway its got me thinking had they continued with a GI3 and then GI/Transformers that Paramount might well have had its own cinematic universe to rival the MCU they sold to Disney for some reason .. Maybe even eventually going as big as Infinity War/Endgame

It's weird they stopped at two. But I guess RETALIATION didn't make the money they wanted.

i wish they made a great sequel. i thought this movie was trash when it came out but i just watched it and really like it.
