Absolute Crap

Who read this script and thought it would be entertaining?

i read it through a few times after writing this gem, and it never struck me as not funny - i was 12 at the time though. its amazing how long it took to land in the right hands. i had to slum it scripting COPS episodes in the meantime.

did you pick up on Dustin(Biggs) undermining the cousin relationship to hook up with whomever the lovely Kate was playing? thereby, resending any intentions of the 'Tanking'. the anti-cupid role became the foil, and was distrustingly set against Dustin (instead of an ex-gf with 'independency issues').. logically sending him running back into the arms of single life. the further complication with the flowers being sent to give a romantic impression set Tank free of all ethical liabilities in regards to the downgraded connection to Dustin as a simple if however regrettable 'bro' - who can clearly mess around with any women either party are interested in. but even going so far as to fulfill his role of a**hole at the wedding - both are further freed of responsibility to their prospective gender roles(perhaps coming to some enlightened revelation about women's rights.. to decide who to love). finally able to welcome love into their lives, they even pay some lip service to having been surprisingly selfless with each others feelings ..sadly marking a parting of ways or dissolution of their bonds. this couldve easily been a bromance. but i love that the betrayal of family roles to orchestrate obligations of friendship set the plot in motion. everybody wins. some of my best work.
