No comparison with Mel Brooks

Year One is better than that one

The credits in "History of the World" is better than Year One. My god this movie sucked so hard that not even light can escape it's pull.

I found this to be much funnier than History of the World: Part 1, which I always felt was one of Mel Brooks weaker films. It was somewhat disjointed, and it was one of those strange comedies where I could acknowledge that the humour was good but didn't get a lot of real laughs out of it. Mel Brooks himself during the Roman scenes was probably the best thing about it.

Now if you had said Young Frankenstein I would have agreed with you! But then that movie is hard for any comedy to beat, it's a high water mark.
