shareSome people are actually immune to it, and it is by far not as contagious as for example hepatitis. That doesn't mean you can't catch it at the first exposure, but there have been many cases of people who continuously had sex with a positive partner without ever catching it.

You can get HIV/AIDS by having unprotected sex, not just by blood to blood.
