real life poppy

i have met some people who are exactly like poppy. found them annoying but they always seemed to be very happy. so it must be a good thing to be like poppy.

It's not uncommon for people like that to actually be using happiness as a shield or defence. There are genuinely happy-go-lucky people out there, for sure, but with the rest, you may not have to dig deep to find a completely different character. In that case, it is neither a good thing nor - possibly - even healthy to be like Poppy.

If someone is also like Poppy in that they make light of things others take very seriously (her attitude towards driving is in fact, potentially, really dangerous) they will not exactly be popular. So, that would also not be a good thing.
