Forget Poppy, they should've made the movie about Scott

When Scott told Poppy about the other students he had to deal with, it reminded me of Mike Leigh's other films, All Or Nothing and Secrets And Lies, where we see Timothy Spall's characters dealing with different customers.

I think this movie would've been a lot better if it had made Scott a main character, and Poppy had simply been one of his annoying customers. Then we would've seen how Scott interacts with his customers, his family, his neighbours, and so on. And it would allow Scott to be a three-dimensional character instead of the cartoon-like foil that he is here.

I get that Mike Leigh was trying something new, but this was an instance where I would've preferred him to stick to his original formula like in the aforementioned movies.
