Too much Sally, not enough Eddie
Crappy film which was only worth seeing during the moments Eddie Marsan was onscreen. Keep your remote handy and skim past the dull parts, directors cut please of just the Eddie moments.

@BigBadEd Yes, his character Scott was much more interesting than Poppy, though a major reason was because of the clash of their personalities. The movie was fascinating when they were onscreen but the rest of the time, not so much. I wish the movie had focused on Scott instead of Poppy.
When reading your post I didn't recognize Eddie Marsan so I looked him up - he plays mousy Reg in Mike Leigh's Vera Drake! Two completely different characters.
