How one reacts to Poppy says everything

I'm usually all about subtle gradations, but got an overwhelming feeling, watching this---that really it's all very simple. We're either with Scott, or with Poppy. Closely, without any bias or bitterness, watch Scott and Poppy's scenes together. All my own angers and fears seemed so stupid, misguided now---my father was a lot like Scott. It all feels so justified, but really, we can all learn from Poppy.
