It seems he toned down his usual nasal and loud voice for this role, since this is a serious movie (though billed as a comedy-drama). Has he done that before or since? I knew I recognized him, but by the middle of the movie I had become convinced it was Kevin Hart.

I thought he gave a subdued performance in the Fifth Element.

I don't recall anything he's been in for some time before SLP.

I found him strangely off in this film. Maybe its because im used to him in his Rush Hour films.
