Just seen the second Episode

and it was really good. I have a feeling I am going to get this series on DVD. I would certainly say that this is one very good period drama I have seen for a very long time. Certain bets the rubbish I saw in the Tudors but that a other story. I hope they make more of them.

It's brilliant int it?? I am really impressed with it. Can i ask you, did you know what was going to happen in last nights episode with Daniel- i had an idea but obviously not to the extent of what really happened

Well it's only the beginning baby L.A. in the summer anything could happen right?

I had some idea. It was very sad at the end. You don't normally get a love story involved between two guys on television. I was so impress with it !

The 'old queen' wasn't just giving him an extra stretch, she was ensuring he died faster. This was, after all, before they'd perfected the hanging technique so at that point the condemned choked to death. Later on, when the gallows had been properly perfected, the force of the drop would break the condemned's neck which resulted in a much quicker death.

It was an unforunate man who went to the gallows at that time without a relative or a friend to hang on his legs and speed his exit.

Yes it was a compassionate move and almost brought a tear to my eye (I say 'almost' because I am really a heartless cow).

I thought it was a nice touch. It's one of the things I like about City of Vice, it's fairly historically accurate, which in the age of programmes like The Tudors, is quite welcome.

There is a lot of attention to details which shows that this series has been well researched, therefore it should be a great success. I hope so because I love it!

Just seeing the maid pull out the pins on the stomacher in the last episode made me fall in love with the researcher of this programme.

Someone give that person a HUGE bonus.

A++ C4.

The person responsible for all of the little details you see in City of Vice is a friend of mine. She's an eighteenth century historian called Hallie Rubenhold.

Well please tell her congratulations and to pass congratulations on to all concerned because this series is terrific.

It's the first 'costume' tv programme I have ever watched, as although I'm very interested in social history I am no fan of historical romance or melodramas.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed they make further series of City of Vice.

I prefer Imaginality to reality.
