Episodes out of synch

Were the episodes in the wrong order ?..in episode 2 you had Daniel thrown out of the Bow Street Runners for being homosexual...then in episode 5 you saw him being introduced to Mr Fielding...the last episode had the feeling it should have been the first to me,as if it was telling you how the runners were established

The Episode was a retrospective look back how they got it all started, so it was in the correct order

In the voiceover at the beginning, Henry Fielding explains he's going back to tell us how the Bow Street runners were formed.

Dear Buddha, please send me a pony and a plastic rocket.

Thanks for that I missed the first minute and a half or so...now it makes sense

I suspect that it should have been the first episode: Which would have meant that the first two episodes where set in brothels, and the third in a gay brothel, therefore they may have moved it to the last episode and added the voice over at the start to stop it looking like a one note show.
It doesn't really make sense to have a series about the foundation of the Runners, which is only five episodes long, and then have the fifth part as "a look back to where it all began" episode.

mmm we did think that

I just bought the DVD and on it the episode with Lord Newcastle being "mugged" is the first one - which only makes more sense as it was the funds Newcastle raised from Parliament which enabled the hiring of the runners seen in later episodes including "Jamaica Mary".

The DVD was actually finished last November, and Channel 4 decided to change the episode running order right at the last minute. It was too late to do anything about the DVD by that time as it had all been signed off.
