It's very telling how the film makes us sympathize with pedophilia. Such questions aren't as black-and-white as we might like to think.

Technically, that's pederasty. Sex with a teen isn't nearly the same thing as sex with a child -- as illuminated by this movie. Not saying it's right or wrong, personally, only that the two issues are defined differently for a reason. With pederasty, the issue isn't nearly so, as you said, "black or white."
