Damn good movie for B Scifi

I was expecting some POS SyFy channel crap, but this was a damn good movie for a B SciFi flick! They did well with the $3.7 (or so IMDB reports) budget. I for one think low budget and Scifi should not be in the same sentence; unlike low budget horror, Scifi is more demanding to budget constraints due to the inherent nature of the demanding FX that are needed, but this movie used its limited resources quite well. Now don't get me wrong, it had its issues, but that was mainly in the script department and a little in the directing. I also had an issue with the video and feed quality from the cameras within the movie; the quality of the video and feed from the robots, cell phones and in general - all cameras, was so crappy. You would think in a society where video is so prominent, it would be crystal clear and the feed would have little interference. As for the ending, I like the way they open ended the movie so here's to hoping for a sequel where they go after O.D.I.N.!

At the time of viewing this, the rating was a 5, but I give it a 6 for story and working well within its budget constraints.
