Is it really that hard to hold a camera still? Video seems to be recorded with a hand-cam by someone who was incredibly drunk... Besides that the movie is pretty decent, ends in a way that blatantly tells you that there will be a sequel. Worth watching if your a Sci-Fan that likes lower budget B style movies.
shareThis movie was shot on 35mm - which; with the lenses attached is closer to 40 lbs or so (at least) - with generally 2 camera assistants working with the operator (pulling focus; etc).
I assume your comment stating this appears to be "recorded with a handy-cam" - is quite ridiculous; and they attempted to make this one match the modern style of filmmaking (ala the "Bourne" sequels; "Man on Fire" - et.) - which I don't personally care for - but is actually quite difficult to operate with gear of this size.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It seems that the shaky camera is being used to distract from a dull and uninspired screenplay and mediocre acting.
