was just wondering how come it is found out that the Call Girl would take the money and run.
She certainly would have not told anyone at all.
The closest to the story would be her ex-boyfriend, who was clearly not in the loop.

I imagined that there was a leak from within the police dept. and that once Mouros found out that the police was about to arrest Meireles and that Maria was part of the plan, he would simply assume that she would try to keep the money.
But this is a bit far fetched, since it seemed that it was certain that she was going to pull a trick for those spreading the news.

Any ideas?

SPOILERS....

I thought it was more likely that the guy in charge became aware that the arrest of Meireles was flawed and tried to stop it due to it's legality. I might be wrong about that ..

She played them all really and got away with it by taking the cash out of the brief case prior to the arrest. I dont think anyone else knew about that at all.

Good movie tho.

there was an alternate ending, where Mouros would be expecting her at the airplane, because he "already knew" and got her in time.

the director found it to dark and chose for this one instead, I think people just assume that the money had to be somewhere, and she was the main suspect...
