Has anyone else noticed how similar the two shows are? Similar characters, near exact situations (The Gorge episode), exact lines (Finn/Jayne: I'll be in my bunk"). There's just too much there for me to think it's a coincidence...
shareNot really, I don't recall a ep of Firefly where they ended up in a gorge, the Serenity's crew isn't comprised of four fourteen year olds, a paranoid guy in his early twenties (the creator revealed in a web chat that Stork was early twenties) and whatever Radaar turns out to be.
The Condor doesn't have a high-class escort (Finn would love that I'm sure!) or a priest and Jewel Staite isn't stinking up Storm Hawks like she's currently stinking up Stargate Atlantis (incidentally Chiara Zanni who voices Piper was in the Atlantis episode Sateda playing Ronon's wife)
No, but in Serenity, when they were coming out of Reaver space, they used the Reavers to attack the Alliance, just like the Storm Hawks used the Murk Raiders against the Cyclonians. When I was thinking of character similarities, I was disregarding Book, Kaylee, and Inara. You can't find matches for nine people in five people, obviously. If you go on YouTube, you'll see I'm not the only one that thinks they're similar.

Heheh. The funny thing is I called 'Reavers' BEFORE-hand, when the gang was just looking at the torn apart ships with the graffiti. THEN they high tailed it out of clouds towards some British accent dudes with the Raiders right behind them, and I just died.
